Join Connect-Two here

We are excited to announce the launch of Connect-Two: The GameTable Matchmaker!

As we move forward in GameTable, we should be developing more collaborations outside of our own Working Groups.
Connect-Two is our first tool to facilitate this. Here's how it works: You sign up via this form, and indicate which working groups you want to interact with. Then, Connect-Two will match you with someone from the Working Groups you selected. You then coordinate with each other how you want to meet; this part is completely up to you. You will receive a new match every month.

This service is optional, and you can opt out at any time.

The idea here is to have a short introductory meeting and see where your research may overlap. It's difficult to bridge these disciplinary divides sometimes, but having an accessible conversation with someone is often the best way to do this, rather than in a formal academic setting. Think more like you're describing your work to your family members, than presenting at an academic conference, at least to start.

Maybe you won't find anything, and that's fine. Maybe you will be matched with someone you already know; that's also fine—we all have conversations and ideas with people that get sidelined. Use this as an opportunity to renew some ideas or come up with new ones. Ideally, though, you'll find exciting cross-disciplinary research to pursue!

This is an initiative inspired by a conversation with Vanessa Volz in our very first meeting in Leiden. Thank you Vanessa for the development of the prototype, and thanks to Achille Morenville for the final implementation!

We hope you make use of this service; this is, after all, what COST is all about!
