Call for applications WG4 Training School at Cork
The next GameTable Training School, organised by Mike Cosgrave and our WG5 co-leaders, Dorina Moullou and Barbara Carè, will take place from May 25–27, 2026 at University College Cork in Ireland. This training school will introduce key concepts related to heritage games and provide hands-on experience with practical tools and methods for teaching and learning through games. The provisional programme focuses on:
- Monday: Introduction to heritage, heritage games, and core concepts; Ludii workshop (Ludii is a general game system designed to model, play, analyse, and design a wide range of board games).
- Tuesday–Wednesday: Game-based learning, game design for assessment, building interactive learning activities using Twine, and approaches to gamification.

GameTable – Computational Techniques for Tabletop Games Heritage. An international and interdisciplinary network of scholars and stakeholders from all career stages across academia, industry, and heritage institutions to inspire methodologies and applications on how to use game AI to study, reconstruct, and preserve the intangible cultural heritage of games.
